The hosts
Meet the people
behind the mic.
We started this podcast because we noticed that the conversations we were having at home weren't happening in other households. It's hard to start a dialogue, but we are here to provide a framework for you to open up the floor.

The dad
Rob Kubasko.
Rob has been in the higher education space for two decades. Whether it's building tech platforms, advising universities, or learning the behind-the-scenes of colleges, he's seen it all. Outside of his work, Rob is happily married and a dad who has experienced the parent side of the college experience, as his only child (the co-host) went to study at ASU.
His role on this podcast is to ask the questions parents may be hesitant to ask, provide advice when necessary, and help give insight into what attending college used to be compared to now — and occasionally get humbled by his daughter.
"Your mileage will vary — and that's the whole point."
The daughter
Morgan Kubasko.

Class of '25
Morgan is a recent college graduate trying to navigate the current job market, work on passion projects, and find peace in the chaos. More importantly — for this podcast — she is someone who has lived through everything we're talking about. She knows what college life is like in a post-COVID, AI-booming, modern-day world and is here to share it all.
Her role on this podcast is to provide the real perspective of college students today and to help teach her dad — and other college parents — about how a fast-changing world is reshaping the higher ed experience.
