The hosts

A dad. A daughter.
One mic each.

We started this podcast because the conversations parents and college kids should be having weren't happening — at our house and at most of the houses we knew. So we made the conversation we wished we'd had.

Rob and Morgan outdoors under a tree at the Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon, '24

The dad

Rob Kubasko.

Rob has spent two decades in and around higher education — building technology platforms, advising universities, and watching close-up how schools actually work behind the brochure. He's also a happily married dad of one (the co-host) who has already done the orientation circuit, written the deposit checks, and held the late-night phone calls.

On the podcast he plays himself: a dad trying to be useful without being annoying, asking the questions parents are actually wondering, and occasionally getting humbled by his daughter.

"Your mileage will vary — and that's the whole point."

The daughter

Morgan Kubasko.

Morgan

Morgan, Class of '24

Morgan is a recent college graduate, a working professional, and — most importantly for this show — a person who actually lived everything we're talking about, in real time, with no script. She picked the random roommate. She failed the math class. She pulled up to the gas pump with $20.

On the podcast she plays the role she's earned: the one who actually knows what college is like in 2026, including all the parts the guidebooks don't cover. She's also the one teaching a higher-ed dad about how AI, social media, and the modern job search are reshaping the whole experience.
